lynne hamontree

Lynne is a South Carolina native. She received a BFA from Winthrop University and has studied under noted plein air artists Kevin MacPherson, Ken Auster, Bjorn Runquist, Billy O'Donnell, West Frazer and Chris Groves. These artists have had an immeasurable influence on Lynne's artistic style while painting landscapes, still-lifes and the human figure. Lynne's greatest strength is her innate ability to select colors that create a truly distinct form of impressionism. Living on Sullivan's Island and raising two boys, Lynne enjoys spending time outdoors, often painting during surf trips to Costa Rica and in the marshes east of the Cooper River. Lynne is an exhibiting member of the Charleston Arts Guild and has her work displayed in numerous galleries throughout Greenville and Charleston.
