Mary has always loved the creative process and grew up knowing she would one day be a professional painter. She earned a BFA from the Cleveland Institute of Art in Ohio. In the years following, Mary focused on the portrait and the figure, teaching life drawing and portraiture and basic drawing classes. Throughout the years commissioned portraits dominated the majority of Mary's business in addition to exhibiting in collective and one-woman shows. In 2005 Mary discovered "En Plein Air" painting and soon joined the intimate painting group known as "The Sullivan's Island Plein Air Painters". She currently resides in Summerville with her husband and two children.
