zach collins
Zach has been making art his whole life, and with intensity since admission to the Charleston County School of the Arts, where he majored in Studio Art. Currently, Zach is pursuing a Bachelors degree in Fine Art at the College of Charleston. Zach recently won Best in Show for a large triptych at the College's Salon Des Refuses. His current work is an investigation of color and texture using oil on wood panels as his medium. He conjures texture from the paint and with relief carving of the wood. Influence for his work comes from the likes of Monet, Rothko, and Wolf Kahn, but most of his creative pallet comes from the imaginative way he sees the world around him.
