Jodi Brown Barr's art is expressive, colorful and depicts emotions from her heart. She is inspired by the beautiful coast of South Carolina and the power of hope drawn from her faith. The paintings she creates are gifts that celebrate joy, encouragement, hope, love, and life. Her paintings sprout from the realization of how precious life is and how great our God is.
Jodi has been a daydreaming creative for as long she can remember-- always nurturing multiple ideas and creations. In college she earned a BFA from Columbia College and went on to obtain a MAT in Art from the University of South Carolina. Over the years she has studied with Rhett Thurman and Laurie Meyer. While Jodi has worn different hats in the professional world, she has always returned to her true nature of being an artist.
Jodi lives and creates in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina just over the bridge from Charleston. Along with her husband, Capers, she has two wonderful sons and two very funny Jack Russell Terriers, Martini and Olive.
