Michele James is an abstract painter known for her large abstracts – acrylic on
gallery wrapped canvas. She is inspired by color and texture and uses strong, varied marks on neutral canvases with pops of bold colors. Painting in acrylic, she uses chalk, oil pastels and pencil to vary the texture and medium of her works. She received a BFA in fine art and art history at Hunter College in New York, NY with a concentration in studio painting. Her work is influenced by nature, a sense of place, space, light in the sky and colors of the ground. “I enjoy the process of painting that delivers happiness to my clients.”
Michele paints professionally in her home studio. She lives in Buckhead with her husband and three children.
