Ingrid Lindfors

$ 500

Ingrid Lindfors

Ingrid’s contemporary art is an unexpected mix of various materials in arrangements of linear planes of bright colors and complexity. Her artwork is inspired by the clean lines of her Scandinavian upbringing, the bright colorful influences of her lifelong love of the ocean and her participation in the urban subculture of NYC in the 80s. She received her formal art education at The School of Visual Arts in NYC, while her free form street art evolved in the explosive vibrant Rivington School art scene on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Her work has been in numerous NYC galleries and shows in NYC on the 80s. Ingrid also studied at Pepperdine University, Tyler School of Art in Rome, intensive studies in London, and fine art classes while living on an island in Finland for 7 years. A mother of two and all avid surfers, she enjoys time with her family and stays involved with The Surfrider Foundation, a non-profit environmental organization protecting waters and beaches. Her pieces bring light and life into any space.
